Welcome to Yoga Macrobiotic Vacations

THE SANIBEL CONNECTION

Sanibel is a barrier island in the southwestern part of Florida and is connected to the mainland by a three-mile long causeway, hence the name, "The Sanibel Connection." Famous for its extraordinary shelling, guests will awaken to beautiful sunrises over the the Gulf of Mexico and will have time to wander up and down the pristine white beaches to gather these beautiful little gems of natural art before the morning Yoga class.

While close to the mainland, Sanibel feels remote and relaxing. More than half of Sanibel island is preserved in its natural state as part of the J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge. This 5,000-acre sanctuary offers trails for hiking, biking, canoeing or kayaking. The "Ding" Darling houses more than 200 species of birds along with alligators, turtles, river otters and other wildlife.

Held every year starting in early December, and running for a week, The Sanibel Connection offers our guests the possibility to enjoy the Florida sun before the holidays begin. This vacation is a wonderful opportunity to prepare our body and soul for the winter months ahead.

Guests will stay in lovely beach front condominiums either at The Tortuga Beach Club or Sanibel Arms West in the center of Sanibel island all directly overlooking The Gulf of Mexico. Classes will be held at Sanibel Arms West and all classes will be taught by Karin.
